Sugar Pea 'Ambrosia' (Pissum Sativum L.) - Medium early, round sugar pea variety ready for harvest in 50-65 days. Grows up to 60cm (23.6in) tall, pods are bright green in colour, smooth, containing very sweet, crisp peas inside which are best for fresh consumption, marinating and freezing. Suitable for outside growing.  Naturally rich in essential vitamins and minerals, supports overall health and well being.

Growing: For tropical climates suitable to be grown to micro sprouts only. Planting season: early spring (end of March-beginning of Apr) once soil can be worked. Soil: well drained, average fertile, rich in organic matter with a pH of 6-7. Sowing depth: 1-2in (2.5-5cm) deep. Spacing: 1-4in (2.5-10cm) apart in rows of 18in (45cm) apart. Light: full sun/partial shade. Moisture: regular watering. Fertilizing: optional. Seeds germinate within 10-20 days with an optimum temp of 40-85F (+4-29C). Use trellis for support.
